My name is Emmet O’Connell, trading as (T/A) ‘indexD’, & I’m the creative director behind indexD (index with a capital D)
I have over 20 years architectural experience & have worked on some of the largest architectural projects in Ireland & the UK. I started designing & developing websites while still practicing architecture. I started indexD in 2011 & fullfilled my life’s passion – design; designing posters, flyers, brochures, websites, record sleeves . . . the list goes on. The web is constantly changing & I’m continually researching & learning new web technologies, as well as diversifying my creative skills to achieve beautiful & impactful websites. I’m responsible for shaping each clients vision & getting my clients point across via the web.
I’ve worked in London for a number of years & returned to Ireland to work with Murray O’Laoire Architects in 2000. I worked there as an architectural technologist & in a graphic design capacity – it turned out to be a great opportunity to advance my skills as a designer. I’ve a vast knowledge of web technologies, webdesign , graphic design & visual communication.
For businesses today it is increasingly difficult for one organisation to stand out in the crowd. indexD has one surefire way to stand out. It is design.
Design is everything.
I am also an ‘Accredited Webactivator &
Web Publisher’ with The Digital Skills Academy
based in the Digital Hub in Dublin (2011).
Collaborators
indexD collaborates with other people in the design industry to help deliver my clients requirements.
indexD works primarily with ImogenOh (aka Little Bike). Imogen studied in NCAD (National College of Art & Design). Imogen is a very talented illustrator, graphic designer & typographer.
indexD also collaborates with Recode, another webdesign studio based in Dublin. We’ve worked on educational & community based websites.
